An aging group of outlaws look for one last big score as the "traditional" American West is disappearing around them.

A discharged army Captain returns home to New Orleans to take revenge on the men who murdered his father.

Ranch foreman Tom Snow is being hounded by sheriff Luke Fisher and his deputy, Brad Foster. The pair are really cattle rustlers, and they're trying to pin the blame on Snow. Snow escapes from them and leads them on a death-defying escape over a chasm.

McAdam wins the prize, a one-in-a-thousand Winchester rifle, but Dutch steals it and leaves town. Before Holt leaves the East he secretly marries Beth Hoover. Upon Holt's arrival, Fulton tries to befriend him, but Holt prefers the company of bad-guy King.

Four undesirables run out of a mining town and become marooned in a deserted mountain cabin during a raging snowstorm.
