This episode is a special presentation of Ocean Mysteries--the story of the making of AT&T Dolphin Tales at Georgia Aquarium. Each week on Ocean Mysteries, we introduce you to some of the most compelling animals on Earth--like whale sharks, sea otters, manta rays and beluga whales--all of whom have a home at Georgia Aquarium. But while the team at the Aquarium loves and cares deeply for all of our animals, they know there is something about bottlenose dolphins which captures the imagination, minds and hearts of people all over the world. That's why Georgia Aquarium mounted a project unprecedented in scale and ambition--a massive expansion with nearly two million gallons of man-made salt water, which features viewing windows, education stations, and even a live performance staged above--and below--the surface of the water, created to educate our guests about the beauty, majesty and agility of these amazing animals. To pull this off, hundreds of men and women worked for nearly three years, battling deadlines, twists and turns that would rival the drama of the show itself. Air Date : 22nd-Sep-2012 Read More
