Donnie Macleod and a team of local tradesmen attempt to renovate the community-run Lewis Retirement Centre in Stornoway in five days. With the local workforce giving their time and all of the building materials to this charitable project free of charge, the pressure is on to complete the work on time. Each week, over 1,500 islanders use the centre as a meeting place and recreational space but it's badly in need of updating and more space is required to satisfy the needs of the community organisations. Donnie has to complete his series-long kitchen renovation project for the Caladh Trust in Benbecula. There was a lot to change: the cooker and food preparation tables were in the wrong place, and an unused cupboard needed to be removed to give some much needed space. Donnie has knocked down walls, moved sinks and nearly everything else in the kitchen! Now he has worktops and splashbacks to fit before he invites contributors from the series for tea and cake in the new kitchen.
