Two years have passed since the final battle with Sephiroth. Though Midgar, city of mako, city of prosperity, has been reduced to ruins, its people slowly but steadily walk the road to reconstruction. However, a mysterious illness called Geostigma torments them. With no cure in sight, it brings death to the afflicted, one after another, robbing the people of their fledgling hope.

Orphaned heiress, English aristocrat and intrepid archaeologist, Lara Croft, embarks on a dangerous quest to retrieve the two halves of an ancient artifact which controls time before it falls into the wrong hands. As an extremely rare planetary alignment is about to occur for the first time in 5,000 years, the fearless tomb raider will have to team up with rival adventurers and sworn enemies to collect the pieces, while time is running out. The movie centers on Rantaro's teacher Hansuke Doi losing a battle against Sonnamon and Zatto Konnamon becoming a teacher at Ninjutsu Academy.

At the Kawanakajima Festival, where the three groups NO PRINCESS, Lunatic Eyes, and "X-UC" were to perform, an incident occurred to a member of X-UC. Umino Risa, the youngest member of X-UC, is so anxious about the high level of performance of the other idols that she runs away. As a result, X-UC will have to go on stage with the nine remaining members. Then the announcement is made that this Kawanakajima festival will be the first battle of the "Battle Royale for the Tenka Bata"!
