A long term couple on the verge of closing their open relationship find themselves in uncharted territory when one of them forms an intense connection with a younger man. Their individual fears and desires collide over a hot Texas summer.

The film interprets a story from the Uttara Kanda of the epic poem Ramayana, where Rama sends his wife, Sita, to the jungle to satisfy his subjects. Sita is never actually seen in the film, but her virtual presence is compellingly evoked in the moods of the forest and the elements. The film retells the epic from a womens' liberationist perspective, and is about the tragedy of power and the sacrifices that adherence to dharma demands, including abandoning a chaste wife.

A marriage. A re-marriage. A pending divorce. It's been five years since Kukoo and Nainaa got married after knowing each other practically all their lives, and now they need to break it to their family that they want a divorce. Kukoo's parents, Bheem and Geeta, a couple that everyone looks up to, have no plans of making Kukoo and Naina's lives easier. They have their own plans and set of surprises in store for the young couple; all this in the middle of Kukoo's sister's wedding.

The epic battles between the Heike and Genji (Taira and Minamoto clans) take centerstage as the defeated leader of the Genji, Minamoto Yoritomo resolves to end his clan's exile and avenge the brutal loss in December, 1159 as they had fought under the white banner of the Emperor, while the Taira fought under their red flags in a battle to the death. The fight only took one day, with the Genji suffering utter defeat which led to their exile. His father, Yoshitomo, took responsibility for the loss and rather than live in humiliation, he decides to commit suicide with all his sons following him. However, the bravest warrior among them, Yoritomo stands tall and declares that he will not kill himself, but rather will fight to restore the clan.

Semi-retired Michigan lawyer Paul Biegler takes the case of Army Lt. Manion, who murdered a local innkeeper after his wife claimed that he raped her. Over the course of an extensive trial, Biegler parries with District Attorney Lodwick and out-of-town prosecutor Claude Dancer to set his client free, but his case rests on the victim's mysterious business partner, who's hiding a dark secret.

Tokio Takenaka (48) is a scriptwriter who's lost his passion for his work, and whose relationship with his wife Madoka (37) has turned sour. He spends his days lost in a haze. One day, a girl named Yoshimi Yokoyama (21) barges into his office, saying that she's a huge fan of his work and aiming to be a scriptwriter herself. Overcome by her enthusiasm, he agrees to take her in. As they work together, he begins to sense her talent as a writer, and at the same time, comes to feel sexually attracted towards her. Soon he's writing scripts that he's proud of again, and begins to feel fulfilled in both his private and work lives. But it doesn't take long before he learns about her boyfriend and fellow scriptwriter Hideo Tanaka (20). He becomes madly jealous, but.

Tennis player turned coach Tashi has taken her husband, Art, and transformed him into a world-famous Major champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she signs him up for a "Challenger" event — close to the lowest level of pro tournament — where he finds himself standing across the net from his former best friend and Tashi's former boyfriend.
