Johanna, a young drug addict, falls into a deep coma after an accident. Doctors miraculously manage to save her from death's doorstep. Touched by grace, Johanna cures patients by offering her body. The head doctor is frustrated by her continued rejection of him and allies himself with the outraged hospital authorities. They wage war against her but the grateful patients join forces to protect her. This is a filmic and musical interpretation of the Passion of Joan of Arc.

Yukiko is a nurse working at a general hospital. Because of the long, hard hours she keeps, she is under a great deal of stress. One day, she meets Kenta, a handsome patient hospitalized with a broken leg. After an unexpected turn of events, they end up having a bout of wild, hospital sex. Yukiko falls madly in love with him and has never felt so happy. Meanwhile, Taeko, Yukiko's fellow nurse, is dating an intern who is heir to a fantastic fortune. Taeko shows all her skills in sadomasochistic play as she trains Dr. Yamada to obey her every command. Kaori, a humble, somewhat square nurse, releases her daily stress with bouts of shopping which only drag her deeper into debt. Then she starts working as an "actress" at the Image Club.

The films was inspired by true events. Przemyslaw Saleta, World's Kickboxing Champion and European Champion in professional boxing gave a kidney to his seriously ill daughter. There were unexpected complications during the surgery and Saleta almost died. The movie starts when Saleta learns about the birth of his daughter Nicole and ends several years later when Saleta decided to give Nicole his own kidney. The story does not follow one linear, chronological path. The audience watches the boxer in the surgery room and join the protagonist in the recollection of past events;
