Stand for Humanity [a PSA about Hate Crime]

Collection of tech-related short films marking the 30th anniversary in 2019 of the World Wide Web.

Sara reads a story to Victor at night, a story about a grieving princess and a brave prince. Gradually the story draws nearer to their lives until converge in a fatal outcome.

As an omnibus of short films, Art Through Our Eyes is inspired by the art collection found at the National Gallery Singapore. Each of the five directors – Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Brillante Mendoza, Eric Khoo, Ho Yuhang and Joko Anwar – handpicked a masterpiece from the 19th and 20th century as inspiration for their short films.

Eli has four children, an unemployed husband and a job with an almost impossible commute. Vale is single and makes ends meet by working in clubs as a dancer. Tied by a profound emotional bond of true sisterhood, the two women's lives are two sides of the same coin, but their mutual solidarity isn’t always enough to lighten the load of their difficult circumstances.

"Washington Heights" tells the story of Carlos Ramirez, a young illustrator burning to escape the Latino neighborhood of the same name to make a splash in New York City's commercial downtown comic book scene. When his father, who owns a bodega in the Heights, is shot in a burglary attempt, Carlos is forced to put his dream on hold and run the store. In the process, he comes to understand that if he is to make it as a comic artist, he must engage with the community he comes from, take that experience back out into the world, and put it in his work.

When Teddy's mom asks him for help cleaning out his grandmother's attic, Teddy uncovers that his grandmother's past holds more mystery than he previously thought... This film was created by two undergrad students with a budget of $12, months of hard work, two iPhone cameras, an incredible passion for the art of film making, and one borrowed microphone.

Two brothers, Fernando and Pablo, enjoy a playful relationship. One night, their usual games take a different path, becoming something real and completely unknown.

As part of a geography course, students learn to do topographical surveys. A stroll at the Champlain lookout, in the Outaouais region, will allow them to familiarize themselves with the different methods in use from Samuel de Champlain to the present day. Finally, a visit to the Directorate of Energy, Mines and Resources Canada, in Ottawa, will introduce them to a new device capable of automatically drawing contour lines. This film describes this new technique of digital mapping and gives us an overview of the progress it brings in this field.

A young couple will be forced to face their own reality upon the birth of their first daughter, and in the process to awaken the ghosts that had been asleep in their own subconsciousness, to the point of even questioning where the fine line between life or death lies.
