When a wealthy Parisian lady summons her lawyer to amend her will, her faithful butler "Edgar" assumes it will all be his. Well, he discovers: maybe it will, but only after her cats have had their day first! Infuriated, he concocts a plan to be rid of the pesky felines once and for all. An overdose of a sleeping draught, a nice long drive and a nice big sack. A bridge over a fast moving river and the job ought to be done? That was the plan, but of course there'd be no film so something had to go wrong and soon "Duchess" is trying to get her youngsters back to their mansion. Luckily, along the way, they encounter the street-smart "Thomas O'Malley" who promises to help them get home. Some fun escapades ensue, the slightest hint of a love story develops and we meet some of the best scat cats this side of the Mississippi. The style of the animation used for this story reminded me a lot of "101 Dalmatians" (1961) with some similarly engaging characterisations. It's at it's best in ensemble mode - the "Ev'rybody Wants to be a Cat" number getting the toes tapping and the denouement with the cats, an horse, a large trunk and a trip to Timbuktu for the loser a fine finale for all (except, perhaps, their next door neighbours). It's good fun, moves along nicely and is perhaps the last of the original style of hand-animated Disney films that I can say I truly enjoyed.
Tom and Jerry need to repeatedly come to the rescue when a teenage babysitter, supposed to be looking after the baby, is more interested in talking on the telephone than in paying attention to the baby who keeps crawling away.
A group of cannibals gather together for a tribal dance. In the middle of their gala, they are interrupted by a ferocious lion!
Elmer is hunting both Daffy and Bugs again. Bugs talks Elmer into going after Daffy, who ends up getting the worst of all the pranks.
Elmer Fudd expects to find "west and wewaxation" during his visit to Jellostone National Park, but he sets up camp in Bugs' backyard, and the rabbit (and a neighboring bear) definitely don't have leisure in mind.
Behind the Hollywood Bowl stage which is playing the opera The Barber of Seville, Bugs Bunny flees into the backstage area with Elmer Fudd in close pursuit. Seeing his opportunity to fight on his terms, Bugs raises the curtain on Elmer, trapping him on stage. As the orchestra begins playing, Bugs comes into play as the barber who is going to make sure that Elmer is going to get a grooming he will never forget.
Bugs Bunny's rabbit hole floods, causing him to float to the laboratory of an evil scientist who wants to use his brain for a robot.
The short-tempered Daffy Duck must improvise madly as the backgrounds, his costumes, the soundtrack, even his physical form, shifts and changes at the whim of the animator.
A workman finds a singing frog in the cornerstone of an old building being demolished. But when he tries to cash in on his discovery, he finds the frog will sing only for him, and just croak for the talent agent and the audience in the theater he's spent his life savings on.
Elmer Fudd is again hunting rabbits - only this time it's an opera. Wagner's Siegfried with Elmer as the titular hero and Bugs as Brunnhilde. They sing, they dance, they eat the scenery.
Goofy's in the driver's seat, Mickey's in the kitchen, and Donald's in bed in Mickey's high-tech house trailer. When Goofy comes back to eat breakfast, leaving the car on autopilot, it takes them onto a dangerous closed mountain road. When Goofy realizes this, he accidentally unhooks the trailer, sending it on a perilous route. They come very close to disaster several times, while the oblivious Goofy drives on and hooks back up to them.
Daffy Duck and Bugs argue back and forth whether it is duck season or rabbit season. The object of their arguments is hunter Elmer Fudd.
