A new version of the old hit 'Broadway Annie' is in pre- production and three actresses, Devonia 'Dee' Rhoades, Anna Wynd and Nancy 'Q' Cunard de Longchamps are all vying for the lead role. Dee used to sing with rock group Economical Pancake, Anna is a classically trained actress, while 'Q' is currently working as a porn star. Anna eventually wins the role while Dee and Q are cast as her sidekicks. Things get off to a bad start, not least among the girls, and the show flops when the producer flees to Caracus with what little takings there are. Drowning their sorrows in the pub, along with Derek 'Hyper' Huggins, the shows musical director, the three women ponder what their futures hold for them. As Derek plays 'Blueberry Hill' on the piano, Dee sings along and encourages Anna and Q to join in.
