This episode begins with Rachel promising to stay with a patient during her hip surgery. Rachel then goes to the nurses station to let the others know that she will be in surgery. There Dane is asking Zac about some nursing schools. He is thinking of enrolling in one. Rachel over hears this and asks Dane if he still afraid of blood. He is. Rachel offers to let him observe the surgery with her. He takes her up on his offer. Once they are in the operating room, Dr. Dunkle begins the surgery by harvesting some bone from the patient's hip.
