Val and Gary find out that Clay McKinney has been found dead, floating face down in his swimming pool. Val is quizzed by the police about an earring they discovered near the pool as she was the last person to see him alive. Val insists that the earrings don't belong to her and she refuses to tell Gary what happened the last time she saw Clay. Gary ends up accusing her of having affair with Clay. Greg ends up deciding to settle the lawsuit brought against him by Mack and the factory workers and calls of his deal with Abby.
