Kings of Leon: VH1 Storytellers

For his release "Battle Studies" Grammy award winner John Mayer goes on the acclaimed show VH1 Storytellers. He plays songs from all his previous albums, and tells the stories that goes into his writing and understanding of them. Filmed 10 December 2009 in Brooklyn and aired 28 January 2010. He discusses the stories behind such songs as “Your Body Is a Wonderland," "Daughters," "Heartbreak Warfare" and "Who Says."

Filmed as part of the VH1 Storytellers series, Taylor Swift performed a live acoustic concert on October 15, 2012 at the Bridges Auditorium, after the Harvey Mudd College won the "Taylor Swift on Campus" contest.

This episode of VH1 Storytellers is broadcast on November 22, 2000 to coincide with the release of the tribute album Stoned Immaculate: The Music Of The Doors. All of the performers joining The Doors on this program also appear on the album. This performance would mark the last time that Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore ever reunited to play live together as The Doors. A group of people are standing along the platform of a railway station in La Ciotat, waiting for a train. One is seen coming, at some distance, and eventually stops at the platform. Doors of the railway-cars open and attendants help passengers off and on. Popular legend has it that, when this film was shown, the first-night audience fled the café in terror, fearing being run over by the "approaching" train. This legend has since been identified as promotional embellishment, though there is evidence to suggest that people were astounded at the capabilities of the Lumières' cinématographe.

The next thing you know, a SWAT team armed to the teeth is bursting into his house and giving him the fright of his life. This is all streamed live on camera, of course, so everyone can be in on the joke. Swatted is a cinematic exploration of this phenomenon based on 911 calls by offenders, YouTube videos of games and raids, and first-hand accounts of what it’s like to be swatted.
