Summertime on the coast of Maine, "In the Bedroom" centers on the inner dynamics of a family in transition. Matt Fowler is a doctor practicing in his native Maine and is married to New York born Ruth Fowler, a music teacher. His son is involved in a love affair with a local single mother. As the beauty of Maine's brief and fleeting summer comes to an end, these characters find themselves in the midst of unimaginable tragedy.

A young Czech boy is freed from a concentration camp and now is working for the army against the Germans.

It follows vibrant young Australian woman Laura, who forges a successful banking career in London and seemingly has the perfect marriage. Her world is turned upside down when she is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and her husband starts to show his true colors. When a tragic accident leaves her a widowed mother with three sons, she returns home to Australia, and is reunited with Michael, a high school friend and a divorcee with one daughter, who has loved Laura since they were teenagers.

Dolly, a 67-year-old cleaning woman, gets mad at the Coop Supermarket. She thinks they're only pretending to be environmental because they still shrink-wrap their vegetables in plastic. She calls Coop and gets put through to Majken. Meeting Majken changes Dolly's life. You can't shut people down forever.

After moving to a new town, troublemaking teen Jim Stark is supposed to have a clean slate, although being the new kid in town brings its own problems. While searching for some stability, Stark forms a bond with a disturbed classmate, Plato, and falls for local girl Judy. However, Judy is the girlfriend of neighborhood tough, Buzz. When Buzz violently confronts Jim and challenges him to a drag race, the new kid's real troubles begin.

"Dinamita" Araya is living the crudeness of normality in an uneventful life since he retired from boxing. A chance encounter with a woman brings him back to life. The other round now takes place on life itself.

Zach has endured consistent troubles while sleeping ever since the crumbling of his family and home life alike. Within a matter of time, Zach believes he has met archetypal, nameless young woman, focused fully on helping him cope with all the troubles in the outside world as well as his own. As time goes on Zach loses sense of his reality, and he can no longer distinguish real life from dreams.

Brimming with action while incisively examining the nature of truth, "Rashomon" is perhaps the finest film ever to investigate the philosophy of justice. Through an ingenious use of camera and flashbacks, Kurosawa reveals the complexities of human nature as four people recount different versions of the story of a man's murder and the rape of his wife.
