Pretty good Italian mystery-thriller that has some poignant moments and thankfully not too many weird scenes that I often see in these kind of Italian-produced films (the only one was the media publishing a fully nude picture of a woman hanging). Otherwise, some good scenes and acting from the two main leads weren't bad. One of the better "giallo" movies I've seen among the ones I've recently watched. **3.75/5**
Stefano, the son of a wealthy businessman, meets a beautiful woman named Lidia while accompanying his father to a meeting with a cardinal. He pursues her through the streets of Venice and a romance develops. Upon returning from an overseas business trip, he is informed that Lidia has been killed in an accident. Soon afterwards, he thinks he recognizes her at a building site, but the woman claims to be a reporter who is obviously involved with gangsters. Maria and Messina become an inseparable investigating team. Maria poses as a call-girl in order to reveal her sister's killer and they use mobile phones to keep in touch.
