Some time after aliens have landed on Earth and pretty much decimated North America, they turn their attentions on Sydney and bent on the destruction of that city - and it's population - arrive in great numbers with overwhelming technological and military superiority. Luckily, though, there are a band of plucky resistance fighters whom, along with a few of the aliens sympathetic to their cause, are working together to find a way to thwart this seemingly unstoppable invasion. Well to be fair - the visual effects are not half bad: plenty of lasers and space ships, pyrotechnics and gun battles - it does not hang around. The acting and the dialogue, though, well that's where it parts company from the obvious similarity with "Independence Day" (1996) because here, that is all really pretty dreadful. Hunky Dan Ewing's "Matt" leads the charge but there is plenty of internal power-struggling with "Bartlett" (Temuera Morrison) and "Hayes" (Daniel Gillies) to clutter up the already pretty convoluted characterisations. It's ridiculously long, too - almost like two or three episodes of a weak mini-series rolled into one. Perhaps it did wonders for the sale of rubber "Sea Devil" masks, but otherwise this is all pretty predictable and disappointing right from the start
In 1868 Goldfields Victoria, an Irish settler seeks revenge and justice from those who murdered his family.
Two years after the Martian invasion, George Herbert's worst fears are realized: The Aliens have returned. As a second wave of Martian walkers lay waste to what's left of Earth, an alliance of military forces prepares a daring attack on the Red Planet itself. Once again, the future of mankind hangs in the balance.
Doctor Who and his companions are hurled into the future and make a horrifying discovery: the Daleks have conquered Earth! The metal fiends have devastated entire continents and turned the survivors into Robomen.
Emotional detective Martin Bullet has shot up a kid in a drug bust gone rotten. Now he must come to terms with his haunted feelings. He starts a new life in sunny yet scummy Sydney, Australia. But his life 'Downunder' soon turns more rotten. Paired with a screaming undercover cop, Jack Moran (described by his colleagues as a 'turd'), Bullet gets caught up in a lousy drug ring involving an 'odd' killer named Mr Earring and an intellectually disabled drug dealer.
A police chief in the war-torn streets of Los Angeles discovers that an extraterrestrial creature is hunting down residents - and that he is the next target.
Carnivorous aliens arrive unannounced at a Kansas family farm; two intergalactic bounty hunters soon follow, determined to blow them off the planet.
Washington, D.C. psychologist Carol Bennell and her colleague Dr. Ben Driscoll are the only two people on Earth who are aware of an epidemic running rampant through the city. They discover an alien virus aboard a crashed space shuttle that transforms anyone who comes into contact with it into unfeeling drones while they sleep. Carol realizes her son holds the key to stopping the spread of the plague and she races to find him before it is too late.
Inept beings from the planet Kabijj land on Earth and attempt to behead all of its beings and take over the planet
A Martian invader crashes his spaceship conveniently close to the workshop of a scientist who is developing an interplanetary craft. If the extraterrestrial Purple Monster can complete the rocket ship and return to Mars, he will be able to start a full-scale invasion of Earth. Good thing Craig Foster sets out to thwart the Monster's mission!
Mere seconds before the Earth is to be demolished by an alien construction crew, Arthur Dent is swept off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher penning a new edition of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."
A lone drifter stumbles upon a harrowing discovery - a unique pair of sunglasses that reveals that aliens are systematically gaining control of the Earth by masquerading as humans and lulling the public into submission.
