An actor gets more than he bargained for at his latest audition.

When a lovely noblewoman auditions for a role, they fall into forbidden love - and his play finds a new life (and title). As their relationship progresses, Shakespeare's comedy soon transforms into tragedy.

Bank clerk John Hart is about to marry Mary Kelly, but she insists that before that happens he must grow a mustache.
