A woman struck down by terminal cancer shuns conventional medical techniques at her husband's insistence and turns to alternative treatment to combat the disease.

The prime minister of the nation gets killed and an efficient police officer, Sivaraman, gets appointed by the government to solve the murder mystery. He gets ninety days to accomplish the mission.

Tierre madre is based on the true story of Aidee Gonzalez, a woman determined to raise her children with her female partner in the Mexican border town of Tecate. Aidee works hard as an exotic dancer providing for her family. One day her girlfriend shares her desire to have a child of her own, and convinces Aidee to go on the hunt for a male to conceive a child.
