The Great Adventure

Two middle-aged women with nothing in common meet by accident and develop a close friendship while continuing to deal with their own lives.

Set in an urban fairytale, DeShawn (an unlikely anti-hero) is smack-dabbing in the middle of a peculiar crossroads. He is haunted by the ghosts of one hundred men: ex-“boyfriends,” in addition to the ghosts of everyone they dated. His days are filled with spiraling epiphanies and lucid, reckless bohemianism fueled by systemic poverty and HIV ennui. In this particular sketch he is relating his philosophy of the world to an unknown caller on his landline telephone while magically shrink-fitting a new pair of jeans that he recently shoplifted from Levi’s. Commissioned by Visual AIDS in 2017 as part of ALTERNATE ENDINGS, RADICAL BEGINNINGS, a program of seven videos prioritizing Black narratives within the ongoing AIDS epidemic curated by Erin Christovale and Vivian Crockett.

A wife and mom with secret dreams of being a stand-up comic uses a one night stand with a burned-out touring comedian to face the harsh but funny truths of her failing marriage, neglected aspirations, and individual identity.

With a technical education background, Eva (Eva Arnaz) tries to become an entrepreneur by opening a workshop. He was assisted by several friends, and it turned out that soon his efforts were quite advanced. Rudy (Geroge Rudy), one of his customers, is interested in Eva's beauty, who is considered a good-looking woman. Tit for tat, Eva received Rudy's love. Unfortunately the relationship between the two men did not get the blessing of Rudy's parents. Eva, in the eyes of Rudy's parents, was considered too low for her prospective engineer. Because the relationship between Rudy and Eva is getting tighter, finally Rudy's parents bless him too.

Tomboy Zehra helps Omer to get with the girl he is madly in love with after saving him from a suicide attempt but finds herself also falling for him.

While Kamal helps his smuggler father in smuggling operations, the police arrest them, and his father is killed, and Kamal is thrown into prison. Kamal's brother Murad and his mother have to go to Istanbul. There, he joins the police and investigates smuggling cases. Years later, Kamal is released and moves to Turkey, without giving up his job. For this reason, the two brothers will come face to face.

Nevin meets Erol during a trip she takes to Istanbul after graduating high school. Coincidentally, their paths cross on a few more occasions. When the young girl returns to her hometown of Zonguldak, she realizes that she left behind someone she loves.
