Three creatures wait in a basement for a mysterious man. But their curiosity might just get the better of them.

An upper class drawing room. A gentleman breaks the curtain pole and goes in search of a replacement, but he stops into a pub first. He buys a very long pole, and causes havoc everywhere he passes, accumulating an ever-growing entourage chasing him, until he escapes them through a bit of movie magic, only to discover that the pole has already been replaced.

"Home Guard and Mumps" is set in the mid-1940s, the farmer Nils Erik Kristersson (Stefan Gerhardsson) farm at Ätran in Falkenberg. He is married to the ill-tempered Mathilda (Siw Carlsson), and together they have daughter Greta. The farm is also home to the försupne toffelmakaren Ola Larsson (Krister Claesson) and the bleating maid Emma (Tina Leijonberg). The farce begins with the second lieutenant Löwendahl (Tommy Juth) and Sergeant Malmberg (Gosta Janson) shows up in the yard to announce that they intend to use the farm for the Home Guard.

Going Up (1923)

John Constable, a writer, falls prey to the designs of scheming widow Margaret Alloway to the dismay of his young wife Kitty. Feigning interest in John's work, the widow offers to collaborate on his new book, Women's Struggles , but when she convinces him to dine with her on Kitty's birthday, the neglected wife decides to retaliate. After attending the opera with handsome bachelor Harry Travers, Kitty accepts an invitation to share supper in his rooms, leaving a note for her husband. Aware of Harry's questionable reputation with women, John panics, but by the time he arrives at Harry's apartment, Kitty has disappeared. Following a series of incidents in which the widow, her suitor Teddy Sylvester, Travers, and the Constables are discovered in compromising situations that actually are innocent, John realizes that he far prefers Kitty to the widow and again becomes a loving husband.

Following the success of Two Fools in Hell (1958) and Two Fools in Paradise (1958), Sun Ma Si-tsang and Tang Kei-chen team up for the third film in the series. The two fools have finally finished school, but their road to steady employment is fraught with obstacles. Things get worse when their troubled former classmate sets the two heroes up for murder. A spirited take on The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), the film even includes a cover of Que Sera, Sera as the theme song against hoodlums.
