One day, an ever-growing man goes out for dinner in a posh restaurant. He devours everything around him, from the food on his plate to buildings, cities, and planets, ultimately eating the entire universe.

Narrator John Nesbitt laments the disappearance of the rural one-room schoolhouse in America. He reminisces about his own days as a student in such a school and how his teacher, Miss Turlock, influenced so many students. Many of them reunite at the school on Miss Turlock's last day, when the school was closed in 1940.

It's Bobo's birthday, but sadly no one showed up to his party. A big game hunter figures it's the perfect opportunity to capture the fearsome monster—by throwing Bobo the birthday party of his dreams.

Mistress Hen has a lot of worries every day. She needs to feed the chickens, take them to kindergarten, clean, iron, and prepare dinner. But how to cook something without salt? Hen goes to the neighbor Goose to borrow salt, but she asks to do her a favour. A simple request triggers a whole cascade of favours that must be arranged to get...salt. The cartoon satirically mirrors the rampant barter and blat in the poor Soviet society of the late "stagnation" era.

This is how their confrontation began, because the wolf did not want to gain fame among the forest dwellers, who turned out to be weaker than the pigs in checkers...

The announcer concludes the warning by saying that you should definitely watch this episode if you really want to have a career as a lawn ornament. After the roll call(which curiously excludes Bash Brain), Bash Brain appears and says that he's never seen anything so awful in his life. He then reminisces about some time in a hosptial.
