An insane homeless guy turns the world upside down for a blowhard. Tapioca is a funny, raunchy romp, a quirky, comic tale of redemption starring Broadway legend Ben Vereen (Roots), Tim Kazurinsky (Saturday Night Live), Greg Hollimon (Strangers With Candy) and a crazy cast of Second City veterans.

When shy, straitlaced George meets vivacious, adorable Alicia, he's instantly smitten - which puts his imminent arranged marriage in jeopardy. He vows to do the right thing, but then he falls in with Gerard, a lovesick, voluble Frenchman who overcomes George's sense of propriety and takes him on a meandering road trip to amour.

Everything’s better than these endless trips on the road in a tour bus that should have fallen apart decades ago, cabinets filled with aspirin to battle cheap beer hangovers, dark and smelly theaters with clogged toilets and a few lost spectators, getting paid in candy bars and not one horny groupie in sight. It certainly can’t get any worse than that? Just wait and see!

Matt is a screenwriter whose career is not going especially well and whose personal life is dwindling into nothingness. Matt starts talking with his friends about suicide, and nearly all of them become deeply concerned, convinced his depression has taken him over the edge. Matt insists to all around him that his questions about killing himself are merely part of his research for a script about a man who has turned suicidal. But his ex-girlfriend Amanda is the only one that seems to believe it.

Max Solomon faces the awful truth that he will never be a writer. So, in a desperate attempt to find his true calling, he turns to crime. In this inventive comedy, three friends have their lives turned upside down when one of them realizes that larceny might be his best skill.

The film is a day in the life of a young artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat, who needs to raise money to reclaim the apartment from which he has been evicted. He wanders the downtown streets carrying a painting he hopes to sell, encountering friends, whose lives (and performances) we peek into.

Clay is a young man in a small town who witnesses his friend, Earl kill himself because of the ongoing affair that Clay was having with the man's wife, Amanda. Feeling guilty, Clay now resists the widow when she presses him to continue with their sexual affairs. Clay inadvertently befriends a serial killer named Lester Long, who murders the widow in an attempt to "help" his "fishing buddy."

Charlie, Carl, and Benjamin are three down-on-their-luck neighborhood patrolmen who just want what everyone else in their town wants: peace and comfort. They will stop at NOTHING to keep their people safe. Thinking about doing something heinous or committing a crime around these parts? Don't bother. These guys are ruthless.
