Inspector Dev Kumar and Gaurav alias Guru are childhood friends. The problem is that while Dev Kumar is with the police, his dad, Parshu Ram, works with the underworld, and is the right-hand man of Kakhan, a criminal don, who is also Guru's dad. When Inspector Khan is assigned the case of apprehending Kakhan, his first suspect is none other than Dev himself, and Dev must prove to Khan that he is earnest, and will not hesitate to arrest Kakhan. It remains to be seen if Dev will really apprehend his friend's dad, or just play around without really getting anywhere.

Munish and JK were friends, bound together in many ways. JK has helped Munish in his education, a trip to England for higher education and has now made him Engineer-in-charge for his prestigious dam project. JK's brother Ravi is engaged to Munish's sister. Ajay gets married to his childhood friend Durga; who is illiterate unable to differentiate between the style of these days and that of long time ago. When Ajay is given the post as police inspector he re-locates to Bombay and later on encourages Durga to move into there new home. In this new environment Durga will meet with some women who are subjected to injustice by some influential people, the police and corrupt politicians. Watch when Durga attempts to defend the rights of these women how she will be maligned and what impact it will cause on her marriage life.

A student whose parents died in the Gujarat pogrom receives an assignment on the same topic at his university. During his research, he meets everyone associated with the commission and tries to uncover various other aspects.

Delhi-based CBI Captain Neetu Singh is instructed by Chief Sawant to investigate the assassination of Maharashtra's Chief Minister Satyaprakash. Her investigations will lead her to conclude that the killing was planned and carried out by Home Minister Bhavani Prasad Lala and Superintendent of Police Waghmare. She then meets with Fatima, and is told the story of the latter's son, Hussain, who was convicted for possession and supply of fire-arms and sentenced to five years in prison. She meets Hussain in prison and decides to assist him, but before she could do that she and her mother, Shanti, both end up on the defensive, when evidence surfaces that Neetu had hired a hit-man, Tatya, to kill Satyaprakash. The Judge hearing this incident finds her guilty and sentences her to prison.

In order to continue suppressing the workers in his company; multi-millionaire, Din Dayal gets a union leader and his wife murdered. When inspector Indrajeet attempts to arrest Dayal his daughter, Shanti intervenes. This angers Indrajeet whose beloved is also Shanti and he decides to cut all connections from her. Indrajeet adopts the daughter, Neelu of the diseased union leader and years later after his retirement from police service attempts to bring her up. Indrajeet gets Neelu marry to Vijay but calamity destructs the couple when they are killed by a group of young boys. Indrajeet lodges a complaint with the police but instead of arresting the assailants the police commissioner closes the case forcing Indrajeet to take the law into his hands.

Shanker is a young man who lives in a small village community with his mute sister, Durgi, and his mom, Shanti. Shanker's efforts to get Durgi married are all in vain. The local money-lender, Lala, in his early 60s, comes to know about this and proposes to marry Durgi, but is refused, and asked to leave. Lala plots vengeance, and gets his chance to rape Durgi, resulting in the death of Durgi. Shanker hunts him down, and kills him. Lala's death involves the police, and Shanker must run from them. He does so, and joins a gang of dacoits and pledges to be part of their gang, not knowing that in so doing, he will be spending the rest of his life, hiding in caverns and the countryside, unable to see his mother anymore, nor any normal human being, for the rest of his life.
