Journalist Mike Harway decides to help his friend Christine in her search for her father, professor Baker, who mysteriously disappeared. The investigation brings them to Africa where they are captured and brought to the El Faium abandoned fort. It now hosts a laboratory designed by the twisted mind of Devilman, who dreams of swapping his natural brain with an artificial one that will make him perfect.

Crimes of the Future is set in a future where sexually mature women appear to have been obliterated by a plague produced by the use of cosmetics. The film details the wanderings of Adrian Tripod, director of the dermatological clinic the House of Skin. Tripod seems at a loss following the disappearance of his mentor Antoine Rouge.

Professor Phillip Brainard, an absent minded professor, works with his assistant Weebo, trying to create a substance that's a new source of energy and that will save Medfield College where his sweetheart Sara is the president. A famous scientist invents a humanoid robot (the titular "monster"), so a greedy rival scientist plans to steal it for use in his criminal plans. His henchmen often kidnap a trained gorilla (the titular "ape") from the zoo, to aid in the schemes.

Thieves break into a scientist's laboratory to steal a secret formula, and in the process they kill his daughter. Enraged, he develops a formula that will turn an extremely ugly woman into a spectacular beauty, and then uses the woman to take his revenge on those responsible for his daughter's murder.
