While London Sleeps

Both Scotland Yard and an amateur American sleuth are tracking a master criminal known as The Frog. This moniker refers to the bulging-eyed mask worn by the evildoer, and is reflected by the frog icons painfully tatooed onto the forearms of his henchmen. The trail leads to the country manor of an enigmatic, steely-eyed nabob, whose repressed son has eyes for the artistes at the Lolita cabaret, and whose lovely daughter captures the fancy of both the American playboy and the villain himself. Murder, kidnapping and seduction ensue.

A criminal fleeing a bank robbery has a chance encounter with a banker and his wife and takes a locket with both their pictures in it as a remembrance of the wife's stunning beauty. After enlisting for WWI to escape prosecution, his face is disfigured in combat, and plastic surgeons mistakenly give him the banker's face. As the banker is conveniently MIA, it gives the criminal the opportunity to plan a bank heist from the inside and also to get closer to the banker's wife.

Detective Inspector Jacques Clouseau is borrowed from the Surete on special assignment for Scotland Yard in hopes that a fresh outlook will help the government recover the loot from the Great Train Robbery, which is being used to underwrite a new crime wave. What they don't count on, however, is having more than one Clouseau on the job.

Daredevil flyer David flirts with a waitress. An orphan accidentally takes off in a biplane requiring an aerial rescue. The villain reports a fake robbery and turns the orphan in to welfare workers, but a loyal dog saves the day.

With his help, Dooley sets out to put his enemy behind the bars, but Jerry Lee has a personality of his own and works only when he wants to. On the other hand, the dog is quite good at destroying Dooley's car, house and sex-life...

Based on the famous book by Jules Verne the movie follows Phileas Fogg on his journey around the world. Which has to be completed within 80 days, a very short period for those days.

John Cleese is hilarious as the descendant of Sherlock Holmes in this modern detective drama of international power politics and intrigue. Unlike his illustrious grandfather however, he only succeeds in bungling every job he organizes. Also stars Arthur Lowe as the "bionic" grandson of Dr. Watson, Stratford Johns as the Commissioner of Police, and Connie Booth as Mrs. Hudson.

This movie chronicles Jack London's epic journey from San Francisco to the Klondike gold fields in 1898.
