The Insomniac

John, a first-time filmmaker, finds himself in Lansing, Michigan to present his film at a local film festival. Vince, his high school friend who is now a volunteer fireman and small-time drug dealer, also visits the town to support John on his big day, or so it seems. After a raucous hello and much backslapping, it appears that there is an undercurrent of tension in the air.

After a relaxing anniversary cruise, Andrea and his wife Barbara are dropped off in Istanbul, Turkey. Ellen receives an exotic mask by mistake and begins to have waking nightmares and hallucinations. Her husband and doctors believe she is a paranoid schizophrenic and take her to a psychiatric ward. On the way to the hospital the car breaks down, her husband rushes off to get gas, and the Nightmare Man appears. Ellen escapes and stumbles upon a country house where two young couples are spending the weekend. They do not know if the killer is real or just a figment of Ellen's tortured mind nor if the killer is outside or already inside the house.

A doctor is wrongly convicted of murder and sent to prison.
