Dark Horse

This unaired pilot, produced by Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl, was shot in Atlanta in the summer of 1962. The pilot featured Kermit the Frog, Taminella Grinderfall and King Goshposh, characters who would all reappear a few years later in the Tales From Muppetland TV specials.

1899, the Christmas-time St.Petersburg. Ice-covered rivers and canals of the capital seethe with festive activities. On the eve of the new century those who should not be destined to meet, come together. They are people from different worlds: Matvey, the son of a lamplighter, whose only treasure is his silver-plated skates; Alice is the daughter of a high-ranking official dreaming of science. Each of them has his own difficult life-story, but having accidentally met they rush forward together in pursuit of their dreams.

A scandal in the royal family: the wayward princess Barbara escaped from the palace and went through the forest in search of a handsome prince. However, instead of the cherished meeting with her beloved, she is captured by Buka, the most dangerous robber of the kingdom. But it quickly becomes clear that the brisk princess is ready to turn Buka's life into a nightmare, just to reach her goal. So the restless Varvara begins to establish her own order in the forest.

A poor boy named Tom Canty and the Prince of Wales exchange identities but events force the pair to experience each other's lives as well.

The smallest kid on the enchanted Wonderpine Mountain has plans to be a big adventurer just like his Grandpa. As he encounters obstacles, Knickerbock Teetertop uses perseverance and encouragement from Grandpa and friends Holly and Otto to "adventure on, adventure through."

A father and son, who fail to understand each other, decide to sort out their issues with the help of their family friend in an unusual and bizarre way.

Twelve-year-old Wendy is not at all happy that she has to spend her summer vacation with her parents at her grandma Herta's run-down riding stables. Wendy has been afraid of horses ever since a riding accident. But then she meets the pretty mare Dixie, who has run away from the butcher. Slowly, a deep friendship develops between the horse and the girl, and while Wendy does everything she can to save Dixie, she also manages to overcome her fear.

11 year-old Milton Adams is growing up in an uncertain world. With his parents constantly stressing about their careers and finances, and the neighborhood bully tormenting him, Milton feels his whole world is in crisis. But when his Grandpa Howard comes to visit, he discovers anxiety about the past and worrying about the future only make things worse and prevent him from finding true happiness moment to moment.

Helena has just started a new job - and she's already pregnant. She desperately needs daycare. Madness ensues as she discovers that the odds of getting into a nursery are about as high as winning the lottery.
