The action takes place in a small Romanian village where three young graduates are sent to fill out the doctor, French teacher , agronomist unfilled jobs. They are regarded with distrust by most of the people in the village, most of them believing that neither of them will stay there. However they will be proved wrong as the young graduates, except the French teacher, want to stay there,do their job the best they know how and try to get used to the ways of that community . After you see this movie you can't help loving all the characters.

A group of civilians join the Army temporarily as volunteers to combat drug trafficking and border incursions near Burma. On an exercise into the jungle they find a place full of strange figures. They go back to base and discuss their findings with a monk. A Karen woman says the place is haunted. The monk says it isn't and goes back in there with them to prove it but they are captured by the Karen rebels.

A young man named Chob, is caught in bed with In-tu-orn, the daughter of a powerful and wealthy landowner who owns almost ever acre in northern Thailand by her father. He asks Chob to prove his love towards his daughter by taking a seven-day trip upcountry, attempting to quarrel with anyone he meets along the way. If Chob can complete this unusual mission he will grant his daughter's hand in marriage, along with half of his property.

Initially kind, he later turns out to be a ferocious homicidal maniac who killed his wife and locked her in the chest. The lord will also imprison Jane, making her little more than a doll of flesh and blood, with the intention of marrying her, but...
