Monkey Business

The story of Elwood P. Dowd who makes friends with a spirit taking the form of a human-sized rabbit named Harvey that only he sees (and a few privileged others on occasion also.) After his sister tries to commit him to a mental institution, a comedy of errors ensues. Elwood and Harvey become the catalysts for a family mending its wounds and for romance blossoming in unexpected places.

In 2014, the collection was inscribed onto the UNESCO Memory of The World Asia-Pacific Register, a list of endangered library and archive holdings. At 35 minutes long, the film is the only musical variety short from the Cathay-Keris catalogue.

New York City tenement dwelling neighbors Blondie and Lottie are longtime best friends. When Lottie makes the cast of the Follies and moves up in the world, she arranges for Blondie, as well, to join the cast and gain the advantages.
