The amorous adventures of three shellfish divers who live and work in a rural fishing village.

A resilient clam diver lives way she wants despite hostile villagers and the various men that share her bedroom.

A couple arrive by boat to a small fishing village where women dive for seafood. He is returning from a trip and he brings his latest girlfriend, a former hostess, with him. This causes jealousy with a local diver, a woman he had relationship with before he left. Meanwhile the other female divers find ways to satisfy themselves after a hard days work.

Hinako, a married woman, feels unsatisfied with her married life with her husband, Takashi, so she suddenly declares a domestic separation and indulges in an affair with Shima, her senior from high school. Meanwhile, Hinako was confused when Yuri, whom she met at her favorite snack bar, asked her out.

Kato is a small time TV producer. He has a wife Masako, and a young son Taro. Kato also has a friend Yamazaki who he knew since college. Yamazaki has a girl friend Riko who lives with her younger sister Yuko who's an actress. Yamazaki is a lyric writer/womanizer and he starts to have an affair with Masako, but he's still going out with Riko.

Housewife Yoko is paranoid after being attacked by someone.

Two high school lesbians have their relationship tested when they take summer jobs at a resort town and meet various men.

Two young women, Minako and Naomi, have been friends and lovers since their school days, and are now living as roommates in the city, working together for a large company. Although she cares for Minako, Naomi decides that she should leave behind her past, find a husband and have kids. Minako, on the other hand, is happy with things as they are and doesn't want to change. The two must work out what they really want out of life, going their separate ways if need be.

Depicting female karma and sexual sorrow in the midst of revenge and immorality, a woman betrayed by her lover plans to take revenge on him by seducing his only son and dragging him into a sensual trap, but before long she too is writhing in delight and falling in love with him.

The film tells the story of Aiko, a 35-year-old mute woman who works in a bowling alley, and her brief romance with Yoshioka, a younger man who works as a postal carrier. The two meet when Aiko accidentally knocks Yoshioka off his bicycle, and they have a sexual encounter soon after. Aiko begins preparing lunchboxes and giving them to Yoshioka at his workplace as a way of expressing affection, which she cannot do verbally.

After the death of their father, a older brother and his younger sister return to their family home on a secluded island. They are accompanied by the brother's girlfriend. Problems arise when one sibling begins to exhibit carnal desires for the other.
