In this videoart, the creator uses mixed media animation as they read a Clarice Lispector short story. Drawing a comparison with her own life experiences, she questions what it means to be a lesbian. Excluded from every aspect of the patriarchal life, she creates her own identity through her loved ones, relying on the precursors of the lesbofeminist movement.

Composed from the conversations that the director holds with people passing by in the street under his Warsaw apartment, each story in 'The Balcony Movie' is unique and deals with the way we try to cope with life as individuals. All together, they create a self-portrait of contemporary human life, and the passers-by present a composite picture of today's world.

Sara, through the force of the sea, wants to achieve spaces of freedom. The encounters with a Caribbean woman, Rosa, and an enigmatic man from the city, Virgilio, will be decisive in resolving her personal dilemmas and better understanding the meaning of justice in a society indifferent to the most marginalized people and with enormous inequality.
