The franchise centers on "Starlight," a dance and dance troupe beloved the world over. Karen and Hikari promised each other when they were little that one day they would perform together on that stage. Time passes and now they are both 16 years old. Eitoku Academy is a high school that caters to rich, high-society families. Among the students who attend there are four young men who have the adulation of the entire school, the "Flower 4" (F4). There is spoiled Doumyouji Tsukasa, cool and mysterious Hanazawa Rui, playboy Nishikado Soujirou, and "madam killer" Mimasaka Akira. If these four show any signs of disliking someone, a red tag is put on the locker of that student and they become a target of bullying for the entire school. Makino Tsukushi is from a middle-class family, attending because her parents asked her to. Her goal is to keep her head down until she can graduate, but her plans are soon made impossible as she is thrown into the world of the F4. Doumyouji falls for Tsukushi for her fierce independence and willingness to stand up to him, but Tsukushi likes the quiet Hanazawa Rui....

This story, a foundational work of shojo manga that continues to be loved by many people across ages and borders, is set in France during the raging revolution, depicting the forbidden love of two couples. The Takarazuka Revue has staged various versions of The Rose of Versailles over the years. In this version that focuses on Fersen, we present the splendid world of The Rose of Versailles in a glorious celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.

Shakespeare's drama "Hamlet" has been performed all over the world, and performed three times by the Takarazuka Revue. This time it will be in modern Denmark, with everything developed in the form of the ghosts ("black spirits" which cannot pass on) progressing. The tale's theme is basically "revenge", but lurking behind that is the frank love of a man and a woman, parent-child passions, and a futile adolescence passing by. This will be a powerful rock musical unfolding through hard rock music.
