Years after a rough separation, a couple meets again and travel to a wild region of Brazil that was once the scenery of their passion. Slowly they find out both have changed and must ask themselves if love has resisted the passage of time.

Summer is the time to travel, enjoy life, and do or leave what you want. A motor home with two occupants makes its way south. But the two travelers do not travel voluntarily, and certainly not together.

After returning home from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer struggles to maintain his sanity. German journalist Philip Winter has a case of writer’s block when trying to write an article about the United States. He decides to return to Germany, and while trying to book a flight, encounters a German woman and her nine year old daughter Alice doing the same. The three become friends (almost out of necessity) and while the mother asks Winter to mind Alice temporarily, it quickly becomes apparent that Alice will be his responsibility for longer than he expected.

Two children, Ignacio and Enrique, know love, the movies and fear in a religious school at the beginning of the 1960s. Father Manolo, director of the school and its professor of literature, is witness to and part of these discoveries. The three are followed through the next few decades, their reunion marking life and death.

It intermittently captures a delicate moment of emotional breakdown. Absconding soldiers with an unfair story to tell, and a woman helping them, all come to a point at the end of the film.
