After years of waiting for a signal from home, Takumi and his toy robot companion receive a message that they will be returning to their home planet.

Just before a mysterious catastrophic event ends the human race, two very different individuals come together to discuss themselves, their lives and what the end of existence truly means to them, the planet, and everything on it.

These five award-winning coming of age short films offer a glimpse of how boys and young men tackle life's difficult desires: confronting one's demons, understanding sexual relationships, gaining the respect of one's father, or simply running away from it all. This is only the start of their complex formative years, where not every question has an answer, and not every answer makes sense. In a refugee camp in Bosnia, while a group of boys is playing ball, the one-legged Enes, accidentally breaks his crutch. His friend Ado decides to help him, as now the immobile Enes is completely dependable on others. They write a request to the United Nations asking to help them get a new crutch.

After their airplane crashes behind enemy lines, four soldiers must survive and try to find a way back to their battalion. However, when they come across a local peasant girl the horrors of war quickly become apparent.

Meanwhile, at his own world, Alphonse Elric ventures deeper into the mysteries of alchemy in search for a way to reunite with his older brother.

Nebi Surreli lives in poverty along with his mother. Doing small jobs to earn a living, he also helps his town's communist unit.
