L'Echarpe is the classic story of man, woman, and scarf which unfolds in this imported French short showcasing the Steven Alan Spring 2012 line.

A man is sent back and forth and in and out of time in an experiment that attempts to unravel the fate and the solution to the problems of a post-apocalyptic world during the aftermath of WW3. The experiment results in him getting caught up in a perpetual reminiscence of past events that are recreated on an airport’s viewing pier.

In the winter of Berlin, two former lovers meet for the first time since the breakup.

Forsaking everything she has ever known, a young girl braves punishment and death to join her condemned husband in exile. Reunited and finally free of their blood-stained past, the two lovers set out to build a new life together. But as days and then weeks pass in the endless, hostile desert, they realize how little they truly know about each other, and the banishment that was to be their new beginning tears their world apart.

Henry is alone in a silent and darkened apartment, anxious and waiting by the phone, as his small child sleeps. Finally, a call. His wife Claire is on the other side of the world on a beach at a luxury resort, drunk, also in the dark, but apparently with another man. An adulterous affair, or a life in danger? In the harrowing wait and frantic calls that follow, is it his marriage, his wife or his sanity that is most under threat? The telephone line is the single fragile thread that connects them. All Henry can do is to hang onto that phone.

Ruben is an anodyne guy attracted by the unusual beauty of Alba, an enigmatic woman. Both live in a peculiar silent universe, with established and surrealistic rules. Ruben must break some of these rules to get Alba's attention.
