Under normal circumstances I wouldn't rate it so high... but it is a Scooby movie released in 2023. Velma isn't a Lesbian and the plot is NOT about Velma being a lesbian. Non of the characters are race swapped. None of the characters are Gay, and thought it has ONE (only ONE) comment that would count as political commentary, for the most part it is politics free. POLITICS FREE!!!!!! NO LECTURE!!!! So the result is that it is just a Scooby-Doo movie and where it's sub-par compared to a lot of them, the fact that it is politics free is just refreshing. It makes it so much more entertaining when you can sit down and watch a children's cartoon that is actually safe for children and doesn't lecture you about politics. You can relax and enjoy it without dealing with nonstop cringe, without rolling your eyes for the pretentious lecture. Without worrying if Velma is going to have a graphic sex scene with her girlfriend. It's just a fun politics free Scooby film and I am grateful they made it.

It ain't easy bein' green - especially if you're a likable (albeit smelly) ogre named Shrek. On a mission to retrieve a gorgeous princess from the clutches of a fire-breathing dragon, Shrek teams up with an unlikely compatriot - a wisecracking donkey.
Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey set off to Far, Far Away to meet Fiona's mother and father, the Queen and King. But not everyone is happily ever after. Shrek and the King find it difficult to get along, and there's tension in the marriage. The Fairy Godmother discovers that Fiona has married Shrek instead of her son Prince Charming and plots to destroy their marriage.
The King of Far Far Away has died and Shrek and Fiona are to become King & Queen. However, Shrek wants to return to his cozy swamp and live in peace and quiet, so when he finds out there is another heir to the throne, they set off to bring him back to rule the kingdom.
