The Letter tells the true story of 11-year-old Andrè and his inspiration to pursue a ballet career.

This animated short is a play on motion set against a background of multi-hued sky. Spheres of translucent pearl float weightlessly in the unlimited panorama of the sky, grouping, regrouping or colliding like the stylized burst of some atomic chain reaction. The dance is set to the musical cadences of Bach, played by pianist Glenn Gould.

Similo is a science fiction love story set in Antarctica, in the year 2064. The story of Similo deals with artificial beings designed to be the perfect lovers for the fortunate few during a time of drought and poverty.

Artemis has lived 15 years in a Cold War Bunker living on food pills and working on paper work that is delivered through a pneumatic tube. Her only communication with the outside world is through a CB radio. Her daily routine is interrupted by her fear of what may have happened to her childhood friend Linda, who has ceased communication for the last several days.

Ferda Mravenec (Ferda The Ant, 1944 ) runs over ten minutes, telling the tale of an ant colony versus a spider. This one is teeming with characters, with impressive animation, fun gags, and a good story.

In 2020, unable to travel, Ico Costa left a small camera with Ailucha and Domy, two young Mozambicans from the city of Inhambane, and asked them to film their daily lives. The result: working, playing, walking, hanging around, smoking, listening to music, singing, dancing, feeling desire – being teenagers.

The spirits frolic, dance, drink, and romance. Conflicts arise and are resolved. The puppetry here is top-notch, and the rear-projections of fire and water add an extra depth to the magical world. A trip to a mysterious and happy world.

This cartoon is directed against the brutality of professional Boxing. In parody form it ridiculed unworthy methods and means used to achieve victory.
