The life of a student named Kanou is transformed when a tiny man informs him that Earth will soon be annihilated. Kanou decides to do just as he pleases with the time he has left, leading to strange adventures that could be real - or just a dream.

‘Zombie in a Penguin Suit’ is based on the short story ‘What’s Black and White and Red All Over?’ written by San Francisco-based artist, author and musician Hugo Garza. For his 25th birthday, director Chris Russell was given Mr. Garza’s second anthology ‘What the Dead Leaves.’ He read the story and fell instantly in love, and knew he needed to see it filmed. "It is about a guy who becomes a zombie while wearing a giant penguin suit. Hilarity and sadness ensue."

15 years after a global apocalypse, mankind is on the verge of extinction. Civilisation no longer exists, food is scarce and most eke out a living by stealing and killing. One boy clings onto life in the desolate British countryside, where staying away from others has been key to his survival.
