I was so excited to watch this film with my friend because it was so popular and I just know how important it is to watch these kinds of films nowadays that history revisionism is tolerated in the Filipino film industry. The film sold out quickly, at least in the cinema where we watched it so we had no choice but to purchase the last showing schedule of the day. It was a two hour long movie and I would say that it did not bore me because of its very fun and entertaining way of storytelling. I'm not surprised actually because it's a musical, and it's originally a theatrical play. Though to be honest, I wasn't really a fan of the cinematography of the film. I'm not sure if it is intentional but it is somehow understandable because the director is a theater actor and speaking of actor, I am highly in awe of the acting of Mr. Tanada. He was really good. He really knows what he really wants to show in his film through his acting mainly because he's also the director. Kudos to Sir Mon Confiado and Mrs. Dexter Doria for being such great actors. The only problem that I had with the other actors is that their acting is not really matching with each other. There are moments where the characters are so good in acting but there are also moments where you feel like they're not showing the right emotions and it's just so obvious. But in terms of the soundtrack and the music, I don't have anything negative to say about it. It was good and very well written. The play itself or the story is well written. It's just that it is somehow lacking something but still, we cannot erase the fact that some events that happened in this film is real and that it is heartbreaking to know that most of us are blinded by the truth just because of black propaganda and that is why I am recommending this film not because I want the people to witness the aesthetics of it, but I want the people to appreciate the story of this film and make this an inspiration for aspiring filmmakers like me to use our platform to tell what really is THE TRUTH.
