"The scream of the screen". One reviewer likened her to a "sort of Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., and Max Linder." All this was compressed into "one more or less diminutive package of femininity". Sometimes called "the girl Charlie Chaplin", she worked for Mack Sennett and later L-KO Kompany. Her early comedies were often produced by Universal Pictures. Born : 19th-May-1886

The head waitress discovered the workshop where the proprietor was having the model duplicated and she was bribed not to say anything about what she saw. She started out with the bribe money to buy some gewgaws for herself, but she got in the road of a passing auto. Unfortunately, the auto contained the young Secret Service agent.

Charlie finds them and gives them away to the hungry spectators at the track as Mabel frantically tries to find her lost box of hot dogs. Mabel finds out that Charlie has stolen them and sends the police after him. Chaos ensues.

Hoot Toot

Magnolia Milkshake, having a husband who is exempted because of possessing a disease which might be called "too much fat" is desirous of helping the boys across the ferry mop up Bill Hohenzollern's place, tries very hard to join the Red Cross. After various tests she is finally rejected. Since this plan didn't work out she decides to join the kaiser-killers herself and so enters the recruiting station right next door. Here she is again rejected because of a flat head. Having failed twice she goes home feeling that she needs a little training and uses poor delicate little hubby as the goat. While Magnolia is still hard at work training with some dummies, hubby gets a note from Nicholas Nutmeg inviting him to a game of poker, but also inviting his little bank roll. Magnolia sees the note, becomes furious, and here follow some lively chases which end with hubby in jail and Magnolia trying hard to enlist in the army.
