Luciana Rigueira (Rio de Janeiro, November 22, 1977) is a Brazilian actress and writer. Since childhood, she was interested in art and literature, having acted in several plays. Her first film work was in 1996 as Cida in Quem Matou Pixote?, a character acclaimed at the Gramado Festival, Cartagena International Film Festival and APCA Trophy. Born : 22nd-Nov-1977

The true story of the boy who became famous when he was cast for the main part on the Brazilian film Pixote: A Lei do Mais Fraco (1981). After the film was over, he tried to work as an actor on other projects, with little success. As time went by, he got involved with crime.

Clumsy old lady Dina Rocha lives with her son Marcelo. After a series of incidents at home, she moves to her house in Santa Teresa. She meets her friend Nonô and she pays a visit to her old friend. Her sons do not know where she is and they go to the hospitals and morgues. Coincidently there is the body of an old lady smashed by a truck and they believe that she is their mother. Meanwhile two smalltime thieves break in Nonô's house and keep the two old ladies locked in the bathroom. During the funeral of Dina Rocha, the dysfunctional families have a quarrel disputing their heritage.

Brave New Land

Diogo is a cartographer and artist who is encharged to set the new frontiers of Portuguese Colonies in South America. But Captain Pedro, the rude scout who guides him through the jungle, involves Diogo in an involuntary act of violence which will tie him in an unusual way to that far away country. At the same time, the Portuguese colonists are trying to make peace with Guaicuru Indians (one of the few natives with horse-riding abilities). But peace doesn’t ever have a low price.
