- Benjamin Yuen, an executive producer, has to deal with the pressure and demands from his boss, and the complaints of his subordinates. Every day, he is exhausted by his heavy workload until one day, he nearly dies. Luckily, paramedic Natalie Tong performs CPR to save his life. Later, Benjamin learns that to extend his life, he must kiss others to steal their time. He uses this to his advantage and sees big changes in his work, family and friendships. Unfortunately, because of him, Natalie suffered serious consequences. Aside from missing her wedding, her fiancé mysteriously goes missing. To help her regain her spirit, Benjamin takes over Yeung Chiu Hoi's coffee shop. He meets barista Hubert Wu and re-encounters his childhood friend Rebecca Zhu, a pole dancing teacher who has feelings for him. Benjamin, carrying the burden of extending his life, gradually develops feelings for Natalie, and fall into the anguish of loving each other but being unable to be together.

- Fan Li, an advisor to the state of Yue, searches for a swordsmith and swordsman to forge weapons and train soldiers to restore his homeland. In the process, he faces many obstacles, but he eventually finds Qing'er to train the soldiers. Despite Qing'er's growing affection for Fan Li, he only loves Xi Shi. The state of Yue eventually conquers Wu, and Fan Li reunites with Xi Shi, while Qing'er sacrifices her love to let them be together. The soldiers commemorate the name of the Yue Maiden Sword in honor of Qing'er.

- During the late Eastern Han dynasty, warlords fought for power and control, and Cao Cao held the Emperor captive as a means of controlling other lords. Zhuge Liang, a talented scholar, lived through this turbulent period, but did not prioritize fame and wealth. He was asked to help rescue a monastery from disaster and discovered that there were people within the monastery who were collaborating with the Yellow Turban rebels to kidnap young boys and girls. While assisting a kidnapped girl in finding her family, Zhuge Liang met Xiao Qiao from the Eastern Wu empire, and they fell in love despite her earlier engagement to Zhou Yu. Their love was complicated by these circumstances. Meanwhile, Liu Qi, Zhuge Liang's friend, was determined to contact other like-minded figures to rebel against Cao Cao and to kill him. Upon learning of a secret decree from the Emperor, Liu Qi and Zhuge Liang joined forces to plan their next move.

The story is based on the future events of the plot of Vampire Expert, a similar two-season television drama aired on ATV in 1995 and 1996. It blends aspects of the jiangshi with those of western vampires, while injecting elements of Chinese mythology and modern horror legends. The series is a tribute to Lam Ching-ying, the lead actor of Vampire Expert and a prominent cast member in the Mr. Vampire franchise, who died of liver cancer in 1997. It was followed by My Date with a Vampire II and My Date with a Vampire III.
