James Allen

James Allen, born on November 5, 1966, in Liverpool, England, is a prominent British motorsport journalist, commentator, and author known for his extensive coverage of Formula 1. Allen began his career in journalism in the late 1980s, working with Brabham and Scuderia Italia as a press officer before transitioning to broadcasting. He became well-known as the lead commentator for ITV's Formula 1 coverage from 2002 to 2008, following the legendary Murray Walker. Allen’s work extends to writing, with several books on F1 history and biographies of drivers, including Michael Schumacher and Nigel Mansell. In addition to commentary, he served as the F1 editor-in-chief for Motorsport Network and manages the website James Allen on F1, providing analysis and insights into the sport.
