Christine Vachon (born November 21, 1962) is an American film producer active in the American independent film sector. Vachon produced Todd Haynes' first feature, Poison (1991), which was awarded the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Since then, she has gone on to produce many acclaimed independent films, including Far from Heaven (nominated for four Academy Awards), Boys Don't Cry (Academy Award winner), One Hour Photo, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Velvet Goldmine, Safe, Go Fish, Swoon, I'm Not There, and Carol. She also produced the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. Born : 21st-Nov-1962

Anatomy of a Scene

Self - Anatomy of a Scene is a television series produced by and aired regularly on Sundance Channel since 2001. As a tagline for the series notes, each 30-minute episode "dissects the art of filmmaking" of a scene from a specific film, often a film previously showcased at a Sundance Film Festival. An episode examines the scene from multiple perspectives, such as production design, costume design, cinematography, storyboards, writing, music, acting, and directing. Interviews with the cast and crew are interspersed with snippets from the film. Episodes of the show are often included on the DVD release of the films they study.
