Carter Huang Chia-Ta

Profile

Carter was born in Macau in 1947 and began learning traditional Chinese Kung Fu when he was eight years old. Carter began his training under the Principal of Shaolin Monk and the Grand Master of Wudang Chi-Kung. In addition to Chinese Kung Fu, Master Wong also traveled to and trained in Japan, Thailand, and Korea with the Masters of Karate, Muay-Thai, Taekwondo, and Hapkido. Grand Master Carter Wong founded the International Chung Hop Kuen World Federation. Chung Hop Kuen is his own style of martial arts based on Chinese Kung Fu mixed with Muay-Thai, Taekwondo, Hapkido and Karate. It is represented in many countries around the world, including China, America, Canada, Australia and Europe. He has opened branches in South America and South-East Asia, and it is represented in 36 countries. Born : 22nd-Mar-1947

Shaolin Traitorous

The plot is a standard revenge tale told in a concise manner that involves a boy witnessing his parents' murder at the hands of corrupt officials and growing up to achieve vengeance. The boy goes to Shaolin Temple to learn kung fu in a superb training sequence that ranks with some of the better-known Shaolin Temple scenes in kung fu cinema. By the time the boy has completed his training, he has grown up to be Carter Wong and soon sets out on his mission. He meets Polly Shang Kwan along the way and, after some initial antagonism, the two become allies and confront the villains. The bad guys employ a particularly clever maneuver involving dozens of imperial guardsmen performing a variety of formations on cue (including standing on each other's shoulders, three men high) as Sammo Hung bangs out different drumbeats. Sammo and Carter engage in a particularly exciting bout against the backdrop of a mountainous landscape midway through the film.

Carter Wong, Angela Mao and Anne Winton have to now try and rescue him. This leads to an explosive climax with the heroes having to fight the likes of Wong In Sik (Hwang In-Shik), Sammo Hung and Kenji Kazama.

Emperor of Shaolin Kung Fu

The Emperor is under attack by marauders and he is so depressed with his failure to protect his people, that he sees no other option than to kill himself. In his grief, he also decides to maim his daughter by cutting of her arm (there is a long tradition of one armed fighters in Hong Kong cinema). After being maimed, the Princess wanders around trying to enlist help from anyone who will listen to her, but no matter whom she meets they either prove too weak to fight off the marauders or they wind up betraying her. Things take a turn for the surreal when her faithful servant girl cuts off her own arm to impersonate the Princess and dies. The Princess goes crazy until she meets handsome Carter Wong, the gentle brute of a butcher who is caring for his Buddhist nun mother. He promises his mom on her death bed he will marry the now lunatic princess. Serious kicking ensues, including sword wielding women, and some high kicking action from Mr. Carter Wong. Enjoy!

The Magnificent
