The Good Neighbor

A nightmarish evening unfolds for David, a former New York Times journalist, when he and his strange new neighbor Robert, accidentally hit a girl on her bike. Buzzed and disoriented, David lets Robert convince him to flee the scene and leave the girl for dead, in order to protect his career. Robert shows no remorse, and in the name of friendship he does unspeakable things to protect the secret. Now that the police are full-on hunting for the hit-and-run killer, things begin to spiral out of control when David’s local newspaper sends him to cover the story where he meets the deceased girl’s sister Vanessa. Despite the circumstances, and her deep desire to find her sister’s killer, the two immediately have a romantic connection, which surprises and haunts David, while pushing Robert to take brutal steps to keep his new friend to himself.

Bender. The Beginning

Russian Empire, 1919. By a twist of fate, young idealist Osip Zadunaisky meets an infamous con artist and self-proclaimed Turkish subject Ibrahim Bender. A man of pure thought and aristocratic upbringing, Osip would never have associated with a cunning and unscrupulous swindler, but Bender comes up with an offer Osip cannot refuse. A precious royal relic, a diamond-encrusted golden scepter is hidden somewhere in town; Bender needs a partner on his mission to find it, and offers Osip a share of the profit from selling the treasure. And so begins their joint venture, wrought with comical and dangerous twists and turns, where they have to outsmart and outmaneuver officers of the White Guard as well as the local mafia, who also have their eyes on the scepter. As their quest unfolds, Osip is compelled to learn Bender’s tricks of the trade: charming flattery, delicate deception, soft intimidation... as well as brute force.

Rihards Lepers - It all begins with Nauris’s painful disappointment – I am not in India, I am in Ukraine. But... That’s OK. He is ready for adventure and to ready battle Rihards. For the first time, the boys receive the show’s paraphernalia – the black box and the promising golden envelope. But there's not much in them – just a harmonica and 200 hryvnia or just about 7 Euro. They have to either survive the entire day on this money or they must make some more. Nauris will manage to feed half of the district with Kiev cake, cross the Paton bridge, and step inside a soap bubble in a museum. Rihards will get to know the Klitschko brothers, run around a giant football stadium, and eat three Kiev hot dogs. But that is not all. They will be forced to make money on the street and to make the girls of Kiev laugh with their plasticine figurines.
