Anna Seles (Hungarian Széles Anna, born August 24, 1942, Oradea, Romania) is a Hungarian and Romanian theater and cinema actress. In 1965 she graduated from the Theater Institute in Tirgu Mures. She played in the Hungarian Theater of Cluj-Napoca [ro] in plays by Shakespeare, Moliere, Goldoni, Gorky, Chekhov, Sigligeti. In the cinema - since 1963 ("Rest by the Sea"). She was shot by leading Romanian and Hungarian directors. Being an ethnic Hungarian, she often came to Hungary to film until she finally moved to her historical homeland in 1989. At a dusty crossroads in the Soviet Union villagers surrender their possessions - a horse, a samovar, a goat - to the state. The train which takes them away brings to the village a physically and mentally handicapped woman, barely able to speak. She makes herself bracelets of burrs and studies herself in a cracked and cloudy mirror. Befriended by very few, teased and tormented by many she seeks protection at a huge portrait of Stalin.

No Trespassing

The film follows the stories of a handful of characters: Andrei (Radescu), who finds himself in conflict with his peers; Colonel Maxineanu (Stanculescu), the school commander; and Adrian (Mavrodineanu), a young villager who is inspired by the bravery of the cadets. The Hungarians arrive and launch a series of attacks against the Romanians. The Axis are pushed back again and again, despite superior numbers and weaponry. At the end of the film, they launch one last attack, which seems to momentarily begin breaking through. Just at that moment, reinforcements from the Soviet and Romanian armies arrive, pushing the Hungarians back.

Kingdom in the Clouds

Though he finds in Constantin an adversary who does not hesitate to remove him, Petru will surpass him professionally.
