Jeremy Lindsay Taylor (born Sydney, 19 September 1973) is an Australian actor. He finished his education at Newington College in 1991 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in drama and sociology, from the University of Newcastle. He has an older brother, Mark, and an older sister, Pip. Jeremy is very close to his family. He is known for his long-running role as Kurt Peterson in Heartbreak High. Since then he has appeared in Something in the Air, McLeod's Daughters, Stingers and Blue Heelers. In 2006, he guest-starred in the Doctor Who audio adventure The Reaping. Taylor appeared in the feature films Tom White and Em4Jay and Bad Bush. His theatre credits include the Melbourne Theatre Company's Take Me Out. Taylor joined the cast of Canal Road in Series 1, Episode 9 as Cain Harvey in 2008. In 2009, he appeared the UK.TV mini-series False Witness. In 2007, Taylor co-starred with Lisa McCune, Ian Stenlake, Saskia Burmeister, John Batchelor, Matt Holmes, Jay Ryan, Kristian Schmid, Kirsty Lee Allan, and David Lyons in the hit Australian drama Sea Patrol. It was filmed at Channel Nine’s GTV Studio 11 and on location in and around Melbourne. The series reportedly cost A$10 million to produce. The 13-part series went to air from 16 April 2008. The series debuted to mixed critical reception and only average ratings, which were further eroded when the series was moved to a later timeslot. Nine removed Canal Road from its schedules after the seventh episode, which drew in only 360,000 viewers; however the eighth episode was still made available online. Nine aired the remaining episodes during August and December 2008. Canal Road was released on DVD on 4 August 2008 in Australia.

Echo Point

Garden Centre Worker - Echo Point was an Australian television soap opera produced by Southern Star Group for Network Ten on 1 June 1995 until 1 December 1995. The series was devised as an attempt by the Ten Network to rival the opposition soap Home and Away on the Seven Network. The series focused on several families and teenagers in a coastal community, and a key on-going storyline concerned renewed interest in a long-unsolved local murder mystery. Echo Point originally aired at 7:00pm weeknights to low ratings and the series was cancelled after a little over 100 episodes had been produced. The final episodes were aired in a late night 11.30pm slot. The only purchaser of the series in the UK was Central Television, the only member of the ITV network to screen it. Central screened the series at 1315-1345 in the summer of 1998 following the conclusion of A Country Practice. TV3 in New Zealand picked up the series for just a few weeks in 1996 but then later cancelled, the show featured former Shortland Street actor Martin Henderson.
