Tumpal Tampubolon is an Indonesian screenwriter and film director. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Math. He has written and directed several short films, which were screened in various domestic and international film festivals. In 2009, he was selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin, and in 2010 he was selected to attend the Asian Film Academy in Pusan, South Korea. Born : 12th-Dec-1979

Eva, a swimming athlete who is approaching her thirties and can no longer excel, decided to return to her former hobby, art. She decided to go to Yogyakarta in pursuit of her dream to become an artist. Her trip to visit these art galleries did not go as expected. Little did she know that Monday was holiday for most galleries. This journey that did not match her expectations apparently presented another unexpected thing where she actually met many people who work in the art environment. Sorry, Closed on Mondays presents a story about an individual who is trying to understand works of art, galleries, and the search for identity. A short trip that brought her to unexpected conversations and experiences.

Rocket Rain touches on the human longing for inner peace within the shifting values of contemporary Indonesian family. In a country where traditions are considered sacred, the concept of nature and social values are being mediated by the demands of modernity. Rocket Rain is a story of people who are trying to cope with this complexity of endless contradictions.
