John Douglas

John Douglas is an American author and retired FBI special agent. He began his career in the FBI as a special agent in the Detroit and Milwaukee field offices in the early 1970s. In 1977, he joined the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit at Quantico. In 1985, he created the Criminal Profiling Program for the National Center as part of the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC). Since his retirement in 1995, he has remained active as an author, speaker, and independent investigator. Born : 18th-Jun-1945

The Atlanta murders of 1979–1981, sometimes called the Atlanta child murders, were a series of murders committed in Atlanta, Georgia, between July 1979 and May 1981. Over the two-year period, at least 28 children, adolescents, and adults were killed. Wayne Williams, an Atlanta native who was 23 years old at the time of the last murder, was arrested, tried, and convicted of two of the adult murders and sentenced to two consecutive life terms.
