- American Morning was a morning news television show that aired on CNN. It ran from 2001 to 2011. American Morning debuted on the day after 9/11, five months earlier than planned. It was anchored by Paula Zahn and Anderson Cooper at its inception. Cooper was replaced by Bill Hemmer in February 2002.
